Mariette

Mariette hull with deckhouses sub-structures and spars displayed. This photo was taken  in May prior to our visit to the Herreshoff Museum Homecoming weekend. It is a set up photo showing our progress. Not shown here are many small parts and fittings, especially blocks and rigging details.

This photograph does represent the finish painted hull. We have applied the gold scrollwork at the ends of the cove strip. Paul is currently working on the crew hatchway, applying the facade veneers and I am building the mast band supports for the main and fore goosenecks.

The Wizard
Mariettes' sailing dinghy

The Wizard is a 12 foot sailing dinghy if Italian design and construction. The model is 3" long and itself required close to a 150 hour to build. We had to reproduce the lines from information collected while on board. This was done via a yacht design program called Multisurf, the same program used to generate the lines for the main hull of Mariette.
