Schererazade

The super yacht Schererazade was launched at Hodgdon Yachts in East Boothbay, Maine in September 2003. She is a cold-molded hull with an overall length of 154'. She is a Bruce King designed ketch and the model was selected to be built by Robert Eddy located in Camden, Maine and eventually be installed as a 3-Dimensional piece of art on board the yacht.

This is a detail shot of the large deckhouse winch. It is built in 14 Karat white gold as much of all the metalwork. Its diameter sits nicely on a dime.
Here is a shot of the 4-bladed bronze propeller as it is sitting on the mirror surface it reflects the other half and makes the 4 blades. This is built in 14 Karat yellow gold to represent the bronze while the zinc propellar end is cast in sterling silver. The real individual blades measure 3 feet in length and 20 inch in height while the model scaled blade measures about 1 inch long.
This is a progress shot showing the connection parts carved in wax fitting into the gold tubing sections. They are sitting on the scaled drawings which we are working from to create these pieces.
